Born and raised in Queens to a Chinese and Taiwanese immigrant family, Cindy is a fellow for Mentorship Matters and a writers’ production assistant on Silk: Spider Society. She didn’t have a close relationship with her parents growing up, which led to her curiosity about their lives and her eventually writing BAYARD STREET in honor of their journey in America. The feature script version won the Pitch Royale Competition and she received grants to shoot the short film version.
