The Film Lab’s annual 72 Hour Shootout filmmaking competition joins Asian Americans from across the globe in forging cross racial coalitions to use film to, through narrative shorts, raise awareness of the societal issues impacting Asian Americans and others from underrepresented groups.
Each year, all the films are based on a common theme. This year, that theme is DiscrimiNATION: A Thousand Tiny Cuts. The theme asks filmmakers to use storytelling to address the cumulative effect of racial microaggressions.
