      Lauren applied to the Film Division at Columbia University and received her M.F.A. in 1994. Her 2015 short film, GOOD BOY, was screened at more than 70 festivals and won multiple Best Film, Best Foreign Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay, and Best Cinematography awards. In 2018, her film ARTEMIS & THE ASTRONAUT was awarded a production grant from NYSCA and later won several awards, including Best Film, Best Actress, and an Audience award. HALMON’S POT (GRANDMA’S POT) is her third short film.
