Luke and Emma and a Gas Station on Franklin Ave

Luke and Emma and a Gas Station on Franklin Ave

Directed By Levi Wilson

USA, Thailand | Narrative | 13 min

Luke, a young bi-racial boy, arrives at a gas station with his Thai immigrant mother, Noi. While Noi is in the mini-mart buying lottery tickets, a man, David, awkwardly hits on her while standing in line for the register. His daughter, Emma, waits outside and interacts with Luke—they both have crushes on each other, even though this is the first time they’ve ever spoken.
