UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN (A HUI HOU) follows Joyce Kobayakawa as she recalls the life and death of her true love, Stanley, who died 50 years ago. Her life has become difficult and mundane; she spends every day watching television, barely moving from her chair. After a few major health scares, Joyce realizes that while she is content with the life that she lived, she’s now caught in limbo between the physical prison that her life has become and being reunited with Stanley.

      1. Kainoa Presbitero


      Kainoa Presbitero is an Indigenous Hawaiian/Japanese filmmaker born and raised in Kāne’ohe, Hawai’i. Kainoa aims to give voices to underrepresented groups, most especially Hawaiians. Kainoa’s short film, THE DISTANCE BETWEEN US, was screened at the 2021 International Asian American film festival. His short, A HUI HOU, premiered at the Hawaii International Film Festival and won a Jury Prize from the student DGA awards. He currently works as a director/producer in New York City.
