It’s a grand world for 7-year-old Juice when her best friend, Grandma Lovely, is around. But their days of happiness begin getting interrupted by Grandma’s bizarre behavior. Grandma begins mistaking Juice for her own sister, talks about going to the slaughter house on the farm, and leaves the house randomly. To help her, Juice makes flash cards and a map for Grandma so that she doesn’t wander off again. One day, however, Grandma goes missing. Panicking, Juice roams the city looking for her. Putting together clues from the map and their conversations, Juice figures out where Grandma is. But when Juice finds her, she sacrifices the one thing she holds most dear to get Grandma to come home.
