Documenting Good Trouble: Short-Form Storytelling for Rapid Response

Co-presented by A-DOC

60 min

Time and again, storytellers and cultural workers help us imagine and remember that a new world is possible. In navigating Supreme Court decisions, elections, and the ongoing genocide in Gaza, short-form media provides an opportunity to uplift rapid response and spark community engagement. Hear from filmmakers, journalists, and narrative strategists on how we all have a role to play in building power and infrastructure for our multiracial movements.

Join us for a screening of DESI MOM by Chithra Jeyaram – a story about how an apolitical mother’s newfound voice and civic engagement can shape multiracial movements and democratic participation.

Following the screening, there will be a panel discussion moderated by Kitty Hu alongside our guest speakers, Chithra Jeyaram, Sunnie Liu, Gaia Caramazza, and Samaa Khullar.
