Celluloid Synergy features experimental short films, some previously screened at AAIFF in the 1970s-80s, and some other contemporary experimental shorts. These experimental films play with the physicality of the film itself and use film as a medium for conceptual art, with the goal of bringing back the underground, experimental spirit of AAIFF in its early days.
