Lena is a Korean-American chef who specializes in Western cuisine and has recently been awarded a Michelin Star. Although she was born in South Korea and moved to the States when she was three, Lena has no connection with her Korean origin nor does she know how to speak Korean. Lena’s friend, Chaeyeon, asks Lena to cook for her terminally ill grandmother, Mrs. Jeong. Though the two have a sour introduction, Lena learns to cook Korean food for the first time and appreciate her South Korean culture, as Mrs. Jeong slowly runs out of time.

      Minju Hong is a Korean-American immigrant, born in Busan, South Korea, and raised in Michigan. She recently graduated from Northwestern University and currently works as an assistant at a talent agency in Los Angeles, in hopes of becoming a line producer. It is Minju’s long-term goal to improve the entertainment industry’s efficiency standards and diversify crew and cast members in Hollywood.
